The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes, 1970, written and produced by Billy Wilder and I. A. L. Diamond, and directed by Wilder, starring Robert Stephens, Geneviève Page, Colin Blakely and Christopher Lee. Donna and I are pretty easy going about our Sunday matinee. For one thing, we watch after Sunday dinner, so we're a bit drowsy and anything we watch is good enough. This movie seemed to veer off on silly tangents that didn't hold my interest. Usually I'm quite accepting of silly tangents, so these went out of bounds. Still, in my recliner, stomach full of spaghetti and meatballs, it was passable.
